From what Ross has also said, the hiking path the General was on is not an easy place to just disappear from. |

An area that has multiple rescues per month for hikers, and people go missing and die every few years is absolutely an easy place to go missing. I like watching missing hiker stories, this sounds like a typical missing hiker. They will find his body eventually, and we might have and idea about what happened, or it might remain a mystery. |

It's steep rugged terrain, with trails that go awful close to deadly drop offs, and people fall fairly often. Experienced hikers have a tendency to get complacent, and complacency kills. My guess is the repairman threw him off his daily routine, he forgot his watch/phone and didn't realize it until he was on the trail, instead of turning around he kept going because its a quick hike and he new the area. He put his head down and just walked, maybe he followed foot steps off trail and walked off a cliff, or tripped, or was enjoying the view from the edge of a cliff and a rock fell from underneath him, or maybe he had a heart attack. Multiple small decisions that would have been fine by themselves all lined up to create a missing persons case. Foul play can't be ruled out, but it's an unlikely cause of his disappearance. If he wasn't a retired General, this would just be another missing hiker story that only got local press. |

I think the point Ross was trying to make was that the trail he used was known and a body would be easily found if it was “just” a heart attack. The searchers know the route he would take and haven’t found him yet. |

Have a history of going hiking, go on one, someone picks you up and takes you to a private plane, the person you were no longer exists. That could be what happened to Reza too. |
