I have a Galls Street Thunder ST240 that I am installing in my MRAP. I have the PA working just fine, but I can't get the sirens to work.
Any ideas? |

Quoted: Why didn't you email me for the answer. Your driver for the siren is most likely shot. Do you get a tinny sounding wail coming out of the speaker when you try to run the siren? He said the PA is working fine though... Sounds like you might have a defective unit. |

This was not the easiest install. It had 18 wires. One of them was Park Kill switch which I wired into the positive lead. Once I cut that, it worked fine. Idea is that the siren kills when you put the vehicle in park.
I figured it out about 0700. Had to test it. I love being right. Nobody else was too happy. Thing is fucking load. Its a pretty good install (If I do say so myself) I'll show it off next time at Scorpion. |

If you still want the "park kill" feature, connect it to your interior dome light. Its designed to cut off the siren when you open the drivers door, not put transmission into "PARK" |

Try hooking the wire to the neutral lead instead of positive lead for the park kill switch. Vehicles are often neutral ground and things are backwards. The positive lead on the park switch should always be hot (ie switch is open except in park), which is why the siren box did not work (it though it was in park all the time) when you tap the neutral lead that will kill the siren when it goes into park as the power will flow on the neutral side then and then to the siren box telling it is in park and to shut off. Just a thought. J- |

The rear doors are set to go from white to red if the rear doors open, but thats it. |

It will automatically turn off any siren tone when the door is opened. The siren tone will continue to be cut off even when the door is closed. Changing any switch or input will restore normal function." The above is quoted from the Galls website in the "Wiring Diagrams" And I understand for tactical reasons why dome lights don't turn on when doors are opened. However there is still power to them when you open a door. http://www.galls.com/DOCUMENTS/SK125_Galls_Full_Feature_ST240.pdf |
