Same phone and have never seen or heard of that issue even in my time in the cappy section over at XDA. Try google yet?

Try deleting all past text threads to your wife and start from scratch.
I had the same problem once. Not sure why, but that fixed it. Edit-do you get an error message telling you that you entered an invalid 10-digit number, or something like that? |

Battery Pull... This could work.. Also, her message list from your number may be full. Have her delete all messages from you on her phone. She can also go into settings and raise max number of texts allowed from one number. Sometimes it may be set at 5, when there is a max setting of 200. |
