Is anyone else having issues with their handheld or car mounted GPS systems?  I was going to take the kids geo-caching today, but I could not get my handled unit to lock onto the satellites.  I then grabbed the one from my car to use and it is getting zero bars outside.  What gives?  Anyone else experiencing something similar today?

You probably need a converter box.

I just turned on my Garmin 60 csx. Works fine. Are you under tree canopy?

I've noticed my cell phone takes longer then usual to lock on to GPS.

I drove around for awhile and finally got my car one to lock on, but my handheld must be broken because it never did lock on.  I now know my house/yard/driveway must be some sort of dead zone (cue retarded Verizon commercial guy).

You in a deep valley or something? They are line of sight.  Some units take quite a while to align if you last used it a few hundred miles away from where you next turned it on. The newer units align much faster than the old ones.

What unit do you have?  My 60CSx is fine.

Now, my *internet* connection was slow loading images this morning.

The handheld is a Garmin Etrex Legend and the Mobile is a ROadmate 1200.  Both are nothing fancy.  I think the Legend may need a software update as it hasn't been used in a couple of years...If that doesn't work, a new one may be in the budget in the near future...Thanks for the reply's...

In the last couple weeks I have had a few problems. The one day it couldn't find any sats and once it took about 30 minutes, in clear sky's.
ETA: Both units are Garmin, Nuvi 200 and 60CSx.
