I bought a Garmin 60CSx and don't have  a CD drive on my computer to download the Mapsource disc. The version on the Garmin requires a previous version to be installed. How can I install a version of Mapsource on my computer w/o a CD drive so I can upload some maps to this unit?

There are ways... buy/borrow a drive, use a friends laptop with a drive, network a drive from another computer.

also, if you google a little deeper, there are ways to do it.

I have another laptop w/ a drive. Is there anyway to do it via hooking that computer to mine?

Hook the two up via Wi-fi, create a public share on the laptop hosting the CD, map the drive on the device needing the data, #5 profit.
