How do I figure out what MY ip address is?

Open dos prompt, type ipconfig. IP will be displayed.

if what he said above doesn't work click on the start button, click run, and type in "winipcfg" i think that is the one that works with XP

XP= Start, All programs, Accessories, comand prompt, then type ipconfig as Slacker posted.

i guess i'm on crack, winipcfg is for win98 ipconfig works for NT,2000, and XP

1_153_370_371_407, I tried what you posted in XP and the dos window opened with the same info as I got doing it the other way but it only opened for a split second and then closed before you could read it. That's strange, I don't know why it won't stay open.

click on start run in the run box type cmd then press enter. This will bring up the command prompt then type ipconfig and press enter
