I have a 2003 GMC Envoy with <60K miles.  Today I notice that my digital temp display in the rearview mirror was wrong.  The temp today was in the 70's and it read 40's.  This evening it was in the mid 60's and it read 33 degrees.  Any clue as to where the sensor is and what I can do to fix this?  Granted it isn't a big deal, but it is a pain in the ass.

Is it on Celsius or Farenheit? Did you accidently change it over?

My last two Chevy pickups were the same way.  It was usually pretty acurate in the summer but in the winter it goes crazy.  On my big truck (Kenworth) if the sensor is dirty it reads 55 all the time.  I clean it and it works again.

I'd try cleaning the sensor on my pickup if I knew where it was.  Sorry I cant help you.  This is just a tag I guess.

No, I checked that.  When it reads 35 degrees F., it read 1 degree C.

I had a 2000 Pontiac Montana van. We used to play long-trip games with the kids, trying to guess just how far off the thermometer would be.

Virginia mall parking lot in August: "Brrrrr...Look at the temp! It's 32*!! LOLOLOL"

oh, for location, it is clipped to the radiator support, drivers side, on the engine side of it at the top, i can replace one in 15 minutes or so, as I know where it is, but it took me an hour to find it the first time
