MODS, move as needed
Years ago I had a fuse ignitor. It was a tube, you put a shotgun primer in it, then put your fuse in. it screwed together holding the fuse in a rubber block. the other end had a ring on a spring loaded pin. Pull the pin, let go and it struck the primer, igniting the fuse. where can I get one of those now? Want to use it for a little more fireworks for new years |

Get paper/book matches.
Remove matches from case. There will be 2-4 rows/sheets of matches. Take one sheet of matches and wrap around fuse. Tape in place with strong tape. Take match cover and wrap around matches on the fuse so that the sriker is on the inside and below the match heads. Tape tightly shut and only on the case. Don't tape to the matches or fuse. When ready to use, grasp the book part and rapidly pull off of the matches. This ignites the matches and therefore the fuse. Works pretty well. |

Quoted: http://www.blasterstool.com/ This seems to be exactly what the OP is asking about. Uses a #209 shotgun primer. Neat. |

Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: Like the m81 ignitor or the m60 ignitor? exactly! what's the difference between them? As for model rocket ignitors, I didnt think you could buy them seperately. m81 is for shocktube and the m60 is for time fuse. The M81 has a removable plastic bit that'll fit shocktube in it, both are for time fuse. |
