Went to the Nashville funshow today. I'm walking around browsing at the same ol' shit when I notice some Aimpoints and EOTechs on one guy's table. One was an Aimpoint M4 so I decided to take a gander. Came with the built-on factory QRP-type mount, had "AIMPOINT" and "Made In Sweden" on the side. Then I looked at the price: $276 
About that time bells, whistles, and alarms began going off in my head. $276 huh? EOTech looked like the new 553 with GG&G style flip covers on it––-$179! Other Aimpoints were also $179. Me (knowing the answer): "Are these real Aimpoints?" Him: "I got 'em from the same place everyone else get's 'em––-straight from the factory in China". 
Me: "Really? Huh." Him (turning the sight so I can see the "Made In Sweden" marking): "Yep". Me: "Okay, thanks". Now, I have to give him credit. He never actually said they were real, said he got them from China, but did point out the Sweden markings. Nice way of not directly answering and yet not actually lying either. I must say those ChiComs make a helluva knock-off, at least looks-wise. I'm sure the performance isn't anywhere near the real thing. If the price had been higher he could've fooled quite a few people (possibly myself  ).
