5 years if another Katrina happens.
10 if not. Either way, our way of life is dying a slow death. 150 years until a societal collapse and rebuild for another republic. |
I had been saying 15 years +/-5 but after this?
I'd take a few years off of that. Most Sheeple, Hell, alot of the guys here, don't appreciate the significance of this event. We'll see. If it starts to spiral out of control look out. Maybe they can get hold of things but I have no faith in our gov't be able to do so. It ha degenerated into a montrous behemoth capable only of maintaining its own power. |
Quite frankly, the sooner the better.
It is the in between times like now that suck the most. Hopefully very soon it will be time to cleanse our nation of its domestic enemies. |
Holy shit, will you guys stop preaching doom and gloom? Life is still good...
You have got to wonder what kind of idiot wishes for a civil war… They should take a good look at the former Yugoslavia for a window in to what they are going to get if their wish comes true. As for present conditions I suggest these people pick up an American history book… things have been FAR worse. They need to ask their grandparents or I suspect in most cases their great-grandparent about the Great depression. |
Won't be a collapse. Just a conversion to a total socialistic state. The rate of change is accelerating. If you are paying attention you can see that every year now is considerably worse than the last. If you are fifty years old or younger get used to the idea of living as a serf. |
Jezzz..this is the USA...stuff like that does not happen here.
Are you guys smoking crack or something, sheesh! Despite the fact that societal collapse gets you all giddy, I see no evidence that indicates anything of the sort is looming. Please provide some.
+1 We have it much better these days... But the collapse of the family, moral values and common courtesy just sickens me |
But then again take a good hard look at the “inner cities” of the mid 1800s… child slave labor, child sweet shops, childern bought and sold, children just left to fend for themselves by their parents. This is not talked about much but it did happen. I am not talking about the South but Northern industrial cities where much of life and moral values (or lack of) was grim. |

What do candy store's have to do with it Still say 50 years, when oil supplies are drasticlly reduced. |
Those of you who think things are so bad here in 2005, need to pick up a history book and absorb the reality of the past, rather than the fantasy of it. Sorry.
Dyslectics Untie. Oil supplies will be fine in 50 years... the market will take care of that. High prices are incentives for new production, alternatives (which there are plenty} of and new technology. |

The republic will fall within 10 years. We are on our way out! Whether you want to believe it or not that's your ouwn business. Since WWII America has made its living off of the backs of nations that we had both taken advantage of, or exstorted from. Well, for the most part we have just about taken advantage of every third world nation on earth. So in turn our capitalist gain will soon be on the decline especially with technology seepining out of our borders to other nations, such as China, and most of asia. What will come from this is less employment opertinities and a rising poor class. Corporations will become more and more of policy makers both domesticly and internationally. Now we all know when the poor class becomes more of a majority, more civil rights will be abolished.
If you really want to understand how it truely works do a complete history review of the Roman Empire post Agustus Ceaser. It reads just like a fucking playbook for any modern empires collapse. Especially play close attention to the Praetorian Guards assisstance in helpng rome with its complete demise. The main problem with civil wars in Rome is that the civilians always lost, so fellow gunmen that is not an option for us. |
What a pile of steaming bullshit. Go away you stupid America hating troll. |
now this is some entertaining shit |
You guys laugh and make jokes but these are the end days.
Did you know that the mcdonalds down the road doesnt sell caramel fudge sundays anymore? Thats all the proof I need |
OMG |
Hey fuck nut! I never said I hated america the only reason for saying that is because to let you know that the good times in this country are over. Maybe you should go mread a fucking newspaper once a year. What do you think NAFTA, CAFTA, and paific real trade shit is all about. As far as I'm concerned I could give a rats ass about a third world individuals but the facts are the facts. |

you may be on to something. a few days ago peak_oil came out and admited he was wrong to be a liberal. |
+1! This ain't Rome. |

There are plenty of signs indeed. When GM gave all of us employee pricing on their vehicles that was a sign. Another will be when the Jews rebuild the temple. Tommy Lee just got a new reality show about his life going to college for the first time. The mark of the beast is steadily appoaching |
I knew the end was near the other day when I discovered McDonalds no longer offers the 2 cheeseburger, fries and drink combo and Arbys stopped selling the ArbyQ!! |
Yes you did troll... not in those words but you said it loud and clear. |
MM please knock off the personal attacks. |

I may not agree with all of it but for the most part readytorock is on to something. The parallels between our Republic and the Roman Empire are astounding. A civil war then and now though are 2 very differnt things. The reason for that? Guns. They are what made liberty possible. Next time those of you see the saying, "God made men, Sam Colt made the equal." Maybe you will understand the difference between then and now. |
Every citizen has the right to run for public office all the way up. So.... Change comes from within.
One thing that needs to be considered regarding the fall of civilizations is that it may no longer be possible for them to fall like they used to. Simply because of population pressures, no area that
hosted a civilization is going to be completely depopulated or even close...short of nuclear war, that is. The old fallen civilizations pretty much resulted in most of the major cities in that civilization going almost completely abandoned. That may not happen again. CJ |
the next revolution will not be done with firearms in a convential civil war. if it occurs it will be a collapse of the fed with the states attempting to prop up themselves as much as possible. you will be more worried about your neighbors than a convential organised enemy. jmo
Hopefully not in my lifetime... It would be sad to have to fight our own people again (ONE civil war was bad enough), and you know the rebels WILL loose even worse this time.... It's just been a while since we've had a disaster near-totally destroy a city, plus the ineptitude of the local/state authorities combined to make a once-in-a-lifetime mess... Perspective guys, perspective... P.S. As you all know, I am of the type who takes the 'and domestic' part of my oath as seriously as the 'foreign'... Anyone who trys to overthrow the constitutionally elected government of the US by any means is just that, a domestic enemy of the Constitution. |

Far Far Worse? That life was more precious? MTV would have been considered utter nonsense? My father was born in 1935. My grandfather on his side was born in the 1890's. My great-grandmother was a coke user when it was legal. My grandmother was orphaned in a ferry accident when she was 7 or so. I have DIRECT ties to the great depression. Yes life sucked for a great majority of people, but they got by because they had the WILL, the SENSE and the ABILITY to survive on THEIR OWN. I HAVE read my history books. My father was a history teacher for nine years, during the great liberal uprising of the 1960's. As annoying and repetative as he was, I learned a lot of the past. as MudFlapper Said "Jezzz..this is the USA...stuff like that does not happen here." He is wrong...... It is exactly what HAPPNENED to CREATE the USA or we would all be yapping with a British accent and more people would "get" Benny Hill. I don't wish for a revolution, but neither do I wish for servitude to the state. I do not want to live in a place where personal choices are regulated. Everyone here seems to agree that there is a major schism between the left and the right. Everyone here seems to agree that more and more insane laws get put on the books that are either contradictory or so inane that most people are actually "criminals" almost all the time. But the mere MENTION of a collapse of our way of life send people SCUTTLING like frightened MICE back to their cages. Cages which hold their food, comfort and security.... SO WHAT if you have to run through a maze for the people that run your life..... You are SAFE and SECURE, in your CAGE. As long as you act like a good COG in the machine of LIFE you still get your food pellets. What happened to the pioneer spirit? What happened to self-governance? What happened to the willingness to accept RISK to make something better? Or more telling..........What happened to the idea that if everyone tried to make their individual lives better, then everyone's lives would be better for it? Where are the Carnegie's, the Mellon's, The Getty's? Living their lives afraid of the EEOC? Afraid of the ACLU? Afraid of the EPA? Afraid to take the chance because the chance has been taken away from them? I fear for my children. |

some of you guys are hammer forging the aluminium foil on your head

There isn't going to be a fullscale breakdown and revolution unless something as bad as Katrina happens in more than 50% of the major cities of the U.S.A.
Now, complete dictatorship? That could easily happen if we get in a war for survival or if we undergo another depression like the 1930s. At that point, people would vote for a self avowed communist if he promised them the moon. |

"P.S. As you all know, I am of the type who takes the 'and domestic' part of my oath as seriously as the 'foreign'... Anyone who trys to overthrow the constitutionally elected government of the US by any means is just that, a domestic enemy of the Constitution." Come on man, Thomas Jefferson himself said that it was up to the people to overthrow a tyranical government. Thats why we have the 2nd. Just because politicians hold office doesn't mean that they themselves are abiding by the Constitution. Politicians should be leading by example and following it to a "T". They should be required to be experts on it since they swear to uphold it. We are told that ignorance is no excuse for not following the law. How come ignorance works for them? Just like the time that Ted Kennady through a huge fit because Ashcroft said the people need to keep their guns in case they need to overthrow a tyranical government. Kennady wanted Ashcroft to apologize! You would take orders from fools like him? An enemy of the Constitution? And kill good Americans? 10 years if Hillary wins |
Maybe even sooner if Hillary loses, which I feel she would (miserably) the DUers and similar ilk will rise up with spork in hand, and revolt!!!!! Shit, if their queen is slaughtered in an election - it will be the end of the world for them. Now, an opportunity to purge this nation wouldnt be such a bad thing. |

I think you got about 50% right. |
