It was nearly 2300 on 11 Sep here, I was watching TV when the live feeds started coming in. Its now nearly 0500 on the 12th here in Sydney.

I speak for all Australians, and I just want to say our hearts and prayers go out to the families and victims of today's attack against a great free and proud nation.

God Bless you all, and be strong. As with Pearl Harbour, they will we avenged.

Thank you, Wesley! My Father taught me at an early age that Australians are 'just like us' as he wrote in a letter to his folks during WWII. I've never forgotten that lesson, and it certainly appears he was correct!

For Uyl: To answer your question, the Tampa's unwanted cargo was off loaded to an Aussie warship HMAS Manoora, and sent to New Guinea. Yesterday a Fed court ruled for the Afghans, and the thankless lot MUST be returned to Aussie mainland NLT Friday 1700 AEST. The govt is appealing. Who's runing our country? The govt or a a small group of Bleeding Heart lawyers.

Don't feel sorry for us. Feel sorry for the cowardly motherfuckers who did this, and everyone who supports them and cheers what they did.

I for one want to see widespread, indiscriminate total war against the Muslim world. They are only a force of disruption and instability in the world.

Wesley, thanks. But like others have said -- don't feel sorry for us. At the risk of sounding callous -- throughout our (United States) history we've needed a
"bloody nose" to get our attention, & get us off of our spoiled asses.

If the right sequence of events, & decisions would happen, & this turns out to be the beginning of WWIII, there's a short list of countries that the US can always count on. Australia is one of them.
