Do any of you use the TSA pre check program? I'm growing very frustrated with it. The program can randomly send pre check passengers to the regular line. When I go to the pre check line the TSA thugs rudely send me to the normal line. When I go to the normal line the thugs have an attitude and send me to the pre check line. The program rarely works for me. Are any of you having this trouble or am I getting special treatment? Is this program just another government failure?
This week I had four flights and pre check worked for one flight. So I have paid to be in a program that works 25% of the time. Next week I have five flights so it should be interesting to see if it works... |

I flew out of DTW about 5 times last year...ATL 2 times. |

| Make sure your known traveler number is in the reservation and linked to your FF number and link your known traveler number to you FF numner in each airlines system. Sometime the corporate res systems did not tranfer the info to the airlines computer. Also if you have any international flights including Canada you can not get precheck. |

Its also awesome coming from overseas. You can bypass customs. I've done it twice coming from Jamaica. Although when leaving the US you can't use it.....
Also United has issues with it. Going out of Dulles (D.C.) I've been "randomly selected" 90% of my flights for random screening. Later I found out it's an issue with United members getting their number transferred. |

The only time it didn't was because I had made a change less than 24 hrs prior to the flight This is likely part of my problem. I'm often making changes and taking different flights due to my schedule changes. This week I didn't make any changes and it only worked once. |

I have not gotten it to work once at Newark. Finally the guy told me that it may be because the travel agency is using "NMN" for no middle name and the frequent flier program isn't. It is something that I can't change directly , only the company can, which reminds me, I have to give them a call.
That and I make reservations last minute. |
