A lot of guys that I know that shoot USPSA matches use Freedom if they don't reload themselves. Their new is ammo they make inhouse from new components. Their reman is the same except they use used, resized brass. |

Freedom Munitions is good stuff. I've been ordering from them for years, just picked up 1000 rounds of 9mm a few weeks ago actually and it shoots great.
I don't think you'll be disappointed. I always get their re-manufactured stuff, it seems to be in stock more often also. |

I used to say Freedom Munitions was good stuff. Now I say, some of Freedom Munitons is good stuff.
I have shot over 1000 rounds of 9mm reman and about 500 rounds of .40 reman. Of those, 1 didn't go bang. Primer was fully indented, just didn't ignite. Some of the reloads smelled like cat piss (I'm assuming a fairly high ammonia content as a byproduct of the combustion). Still, happy with these purchases. I recently purchased some .380, and this is where I've had some issues. It was reman, and there was a wide variety of headstamps used. The loading seemed underpowered compared to other factory loadings. Somewhere between 1 in 5 to 1 in 10 rounds would not cycle the slide in my LCP, and produced a lot of flyers. This LCP had previously gone through several hundred rounds of mixed Tula, Federal and Fiocchi .380 without a hitch. So, not so pleased with the .380, and, haven't finished this stash off, I will pass on this for future purchases. Although I suppose the reinforcement of failure drills in my pocket pistol may have been a useful side benefit. I found a good sale on Winchester white box 9mm and .40, so that's what I'm using now for blasting ammo. When it's time to order more plinking stuff, if Freedom is noticeably cheaper then I'll go with them. But with the price on common centerfire pistol ammo falling, if I'm paying a little bit more per round for name brand, I'll go with that. |
