My wife accidentally deleted all her photos on her galaxy s3. I backed it up a few months ago but she lost some photos of the kids first haircut and other things like that she wants back. I tried the free software I could find on Google but they only seem to be able to recover from the SD card but not internal memory. I ran a trial version of 1 and it seems to be able to recover the photos. However they want $50 to perform the actual recovery. Before I spend $50 anyone know a free software I can try? |

The important thing is to not take any more pictures or use the phone in a way that will store data. This will write over the "deleted" data and make it unrecoverable.
With the way phones show up when plugged into a computer now (not as a disk drive but as a media device), and android app may be the only way to go, but again, be careful, anything you download will also be writing over the things you're trying to recover. Once this is sorted out, get a free dropbox account, download the app, and turn on camera upload. That way her pictures instantly save to the cloud as well as the device so this won't happen again. |
