| Anyone else playing the demo? I get to play the full game on the 10th |

Forza 5 disappointed me.
Aside from the small number of tracks when compared to 4, it seemed like anytime I upgraded a vehicle, it bumped it out of the class I was racing in, and I couldn't use that car in any of the other groups of races. Maybe I'm doing it wrong but I couldn't figure it out. Forza 4 was amazing for me. I could upgrade and tweak to my hearts content, and I could upgrade it to another class, I can still use it in other races. 5 was a let down. I'm not sure if I'll get 6 |

They spent too much time going JJ Abrams Lense Flare. |

Nice review here: http://www.autoblog.com/2015/09/08/forza-motorsport-6-video-game-review/
Also, I really want the Z4 M coupe but I ordered the game from the xbox store. |

I'm getting it. Have the ultimate edition, so get to play the 10th. My xbox says play the 15th though....hopefully thats just default. I love the Forza series, even though 5 was a letdown. Then again 2 was as well (first one on 360). 4 was my favorite, and I don't think there is any way 6 will be as bad as 5 so I'll give it a shot |

Downloading... I guess i've come to terms that they'll never have an 03-04 Cobra in there I fell the same way, no 98-02 M coupe or roadster :(. The game is so much better than 5 Have they ever had an M coupe in one? Seems like something i've played has had one. Forza 4 maybe? One of the PGR games had a 03/04 Cobra in it. And I believe Forza 3 or 4 had aftermarket parts you could buy for the 00 Cobra R to at least make it look like a Terminator. |

I can play Forza in my 95 Cobra in my garage. 110in diagonal projected screen drive in style. I can be in my 95 cobra in game while in my 95 cobra while in my garage. We tried doing split screen with my 95 Cobra and 05 GT parked side by side with matching in game cars but it didnt work out as well. /edit Had to cut post short as girlfriend came out of shower. Anyhow, Forza 3 and 4 really seem to be the height of the series. I think it was in Forza 3 where I actually jumped a 911 over a slower car on a section of Millan. Have a picture of it from the replay some place. |

Also, wishing I still had this. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-V8m3g6y6iUo/T9-W60hPC0I/AAAAAAAADt4/AxhGojOUCsQ/s800-Ic42/DSC_0375.JPG Of course last I read, the Fanatec setup I had wouldn't be compatible with Xbox One. The lack of a decent, reasonably priced wheel is what has prevented me from playing any Forza games on the XBOne. Has that changed? |
|
I really want to buy it, but I'm still playing Phantom Pain and I have to go back to Mad Max at some point... and then there is the rest of my unfinished Steam library...
Come to think of it I have not even turned my Xbone on in months. I bet I have like fifty updates waiting for me. |

I see at least three cars I worked on for the game in those screenshots... were you in visual modeling part of the development or physics modeling? I really wonder if the game has an engine that can realistically mimic the differences of say a 95 Mustang, 05 Mustang, and 15 Mustang in terms of suspension geometry. or if it is a relatively more simple system of doing weigh bias mixed with center of gravity and friction/drivetrain types. |

Also, can you have words with someone to ask them if they will pretty please with sugar on top add a 2003/2004 Cobra? Make sure to tell them that some random dude on the internet who loves the series requested it! |

IIRC, Rogue is a visual modeler as he was working on the tracks before in Forza 4 maybe? |

I don't like the weather - puddles are a bit absurd. No value added to me. Makes things a pain in the ass when racing online...and not in a fun way. I haven't noticed much in the way of physics/handling, but honestly, I just kind of learn the game and deal with it. A lot more cars compared to 5 and tracks as well. Love the Glen, Lime Rock and Monza. It looks good...sometimes the rendering of the dust/tire smoke looks cheezy, I'm guessing in part to keeping the 1080P/60FPS. I do pretty much 99% online racing, and the 24 player lobby is a bit insane. Couple that with folks that cant drive, or don't want to learn to drive, it can be frustrating. Pair that with a 5 minute race, and its simply not enough time. Very rarely do you get a good race - if you have a few people that are similar skill, its likely one or others will be crashed out and the other one off to the races. |

I can't believe I didn't see this thread. I was about to ask which one of you guys worked for Turn 10 after I saw one of the endurance races was 87 laps. Quoted:

You gots to get with the program Stick! As for me, i've not gotten a chance to race recently. Haven't had much free time lately. Gonna try to race a little tonight. |
