| Wife and I are considering buying a 2007 Ford Edge we have found locally. Any opinions/advice from folks who own one, and especially Ford guys who work on them, would be appreciated. Anything in particular to look for/avoid? POS or worth looking at? Thanks. |

Pretty good vehicle. I was the service manager at a large ford dealership.
The chrome wheels peel and look like ass in a few months. Mechanically very few problems. The vista roof option had some issues that were pretty labor intensive to correct. So make sure if yours has it, it is working well or under warranty. Engine/trans/driveline is all pretty reliable. I'd own one if I had the cash and was in the market. Not sure what year sync became an option, but well worth it in my opinion. I love it. If you have any specific questions IM me. Or get me the vin and I can let you know the warranty history. |
| Rented one in Vegas. Was not ready for the throttle response, it really got up and went when you stand on it. Nice vehicle with decent visibility, was very quiet. The AC was like standing in a force 5 hurricane, no kidding it was loud and it was cold! Kinda small compared to a full sized SUV of which Im used to. Overall I wouldn't mind having one if priced right. |
