This is the same flashlight as I have. Its 15k theoretical lumens. 250w 24volt bulb overdriven. Uses 8x 4.2volt batteries. The damage is absolutely insane! This craps all over that surefire that kbed the other month. Unlike the guy who had his explode, my batteries have had no problems at all. I actually keep mine in its own case, with each cell individually seperated. Maybe I should name my flashlight "The Glock" |

It's late, and I'm tired, because I was SURE that topic said: Fleshlight Explodes!!! And I was LOLin' before I even clicked the thread, thinking there'd be a "Wife BoobyTraps Pervert Husbands Sex Toy" headline to go with it or some strange shit. But this was interesting too. |

I could swear I have seen this exact same story somehwere before complete with damaged door. That was with a MUCH smaller surefire. In terms of cell physical volume, this involves more than 5x the volume than the surefire. In terms of Amp hours, it involves ALOT more. The SureFire had 3x 800mAh cells. This involves 8x 2000?mAh cells. |

The look on that guys face is priceless. Like a little kid being given a real lightsabre. Thats me You look happier than a kid on christmas day. I think it was taken the day that I received her. It still brings me joy when I wield her. But fuck me dead I cant point it at anything less than 1m away, otherwise the reflection is so bright that it hurts my eyes. One of my drunken friends tried to see how long he could hold his hand in front of the lens. He lasted less than a second |

| Lithium cells should never be fully discharged (0v charge)-they should stay above 3v. And you NEVER put cells showing 0v or cells that "were completely dead" on a charger-you might get a vent and flame right then. If you don't, then mixing cells with an internal short that have been overdischarged with fully charged cells will probably result in a vent and flame event. |

http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=1&f=5&t=951360&page=1 Did surefire ever get back to you? Yeah, about 2 weeks ago i got a new light. I think its a lx2 or lm2 or something with a letter saying they think it was from non surefire batteries, but they wanted to replace it anyways. The batteries were surefire. Whatever, I am done with them. I have the ones I own, G2, M900 and this new one, that I will trade for gun stuff or some glock mags I guess. I looked at it and put it right back in the box. A member here sent me a link to a new light the JetBeam Jet III. I got one of those since I need a belt light for work and it took SF 3 months to replace the other one. It came with 2 rechargable battery sticks and charger for $90.00 shipped. 200 lumens and seems everybit as good as the new 200-250 dollar one they sent. I like the idea of charging one stick and having a spare. The saving on dl123's will be nice as well. I used that light the most and went through 3 for about 45 mins run time. I think I have 5 boxes left, so I should be good for a while. |

Agreed, he showed a lack of understanding about lithium cells. When using such a high powered flashlight, its especially important to handle all the components properly. That is why I dont let anybody else use my "Glock". 8 lithium cells discharging at about 20C is something to take very seriously. In terms of hotwire flashlights, its in the top few. IIRC there are a few one off custom models that are more powerful. |
