I am looking for a good flashlight to carry around in my rmp. I am looking at the streamlight stingers but cannot decide which is going to best for where I work. I work in a suburb about 20 miles from NYC. I have a little streamlight 2L on my belt but want something a bit bigger and brighter
Thanks

I just bought a Olight M21x warrior.  I also carry the streamlight stinger led.  I tend to use my light 5+ hours a night.  I have been going through about 3 stinger batteries using it on full power.
The Olight is a heck of a lot brighter(600L) and the batteries last a good bit longer.  I go through maybe 1.5 of the rechargable 18650's a night at the most.  Plus the 18650's are smaller to carry for back up compared to the stinger batts.   Bought the light, charger and batteries for 75 on ebay.
Another guy on my shift bought one about 6 months ago and he's been using it 100%  every night since and its still going stong.

I don't know how big you want to go or how much you want to spend... But I've been using the Surefire R1 Lawman. It was about 340 on amazon. But I love it! It's definitely a duty size light about the same size as the poly-stinger. I use it all the time. It's a blinding 750 lumens on a fresh charge. I've had multiple suspects tell me they couldn't see a thing after I've lit them up with it. I know surefire just came out with the P3X Fury that's a bit smaller, less money and 1000 lumens. It's not rechargeable though... It takes 3-cr123 batts. I may end up getting one of those too for shits and giggles.

The surefires are sick but pretty expensive..I was more wondering which stinger is right for me, the hp,Hal, or standard led

I'm really quite fond of my 5.11 TPT R7.  It's the size of a 3D light (it even comes with a 3D carrier to be used in a pinch) and is VERY bright and has wonderful battery life.  There's also a midsized version if this one is too big.  The only downside I can see is the plastic body, but I've yet to break it in over a year's use.

Out of those, I've only used the Hal and Led.  The led is better than the halogen by far.

Surefire offers LE discount just have to call them.

The Olight and Fenix brands are pretty good lights.

FENIX pd 35 is a handheld flashlight with 850 lumens.

I really like Fenix lights, own several, and the pd 35 is the one I carry on my duty rig.  It's STUPID bright.

I carry the pd 22 as an edc in my blue jeans pocket.

I just bought an ExtremeBeam M4 at Sportsman's Warehouse for about $49.00 to throw in the car.  315 lumens, 3 settings (high, low, flash).  I have been extremely pleased with this light.  It is worth checking out.

My agency issues the new Streamlight Stinger dual switch LED. Pretty bright, listed around 200L, but I think they have an even newer one with 300L. If you shop around you can get one with either DC, AC or both for around $120ish. I would put my Streamlights up against Surefire any day.

Fenix PD35. Half the size and weight of a Stinger and has an 850 lumen output. You can use either two 123 batteries or a rechargeable 18650 battery.
