I am replacing my old fish finder and I am trying to verify the best placement for the new transducer.
I have an 89 omc 2.3L and from what I see it is a standard rotation (RH), which would indicate that the transducer ought to be on the starboard side(R), to help minimize turbulance from the prop.? The hull is steped and it seems that I should mount the transducer away from the strakes. So my Question is: Am I correct in my info and am I heading in the right direction as far as mounting everything? Thanks, David |
