10/10 I would dock you points because you didn't know you only have to be 18 to own a handgun in FL, but the food looked good and I liked the play of fired cases after dinner. I could own a handgun at any age... But to not go to jail, I have to be 21.
To purchase long guns and ammo for them - 18+ To purchase hand guns and ammo for them - 21+ |

You are incorrect. You may own a handgun in Fl at 18. See Florida Statute 790.22. You must be 21 to buy a handgun from a federally licensed dealer. How would I buy ammo to feed the thing if I'm under 21? Also, how do I quire a handgun if it is illegal to buy from a FFL? Would I have to get a person who is 21 buy it for me and then give it to me? It is illegal to buy for/give/transfer a firearm to a minor. |
| It would be illegal for anyone to buy it for you from a dealer with the anticipation of giving it to you (aside from as a gift). You however can buy it through a private sale or a gift from your parents. You are not a minor in florida when you are 18. I don't want to turn your really nice dinner pic into a discussion of Florida handgun issues. If you really want the skinny post about this in the Florida hometown forum, it comes up all of the time. |

Its cool man, I'll just wait it out a few more years... My luck, I would get the dumb cop who doesn't know the law

As for ammo, it's a .22 long rifle. Pretty easy, there. |

You better have a rifle in mind that takes what you are shooting. (Ie. 9mm for my modified AR-15 - .45 LC for my lever-gun - etc) |
