Well, it finally happened. First encounter with a LEO while armed.(must notify in SC)
No panic, very polite, not treated like a criminal. Did get a 25$ seat belt ticket. He told me to have a nice day and I complimented him on being a professional about the guns. And the point of this post, he said "We believe in citizens rights to carry, ect" +1 to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. |

I haven't had a BIT of problems when pulled over by LEOs and carring firearms.
Once, in AZ, the cop just asked if it was the only firearm I had with me. I had my Sig stuck in the console of the GF's GMC. I told him it wasn't, that there was another in a zippered case under the seat. He said OK, and didn't even ask to see it. I've been pulled over 3 times (warned for speeding Then again, I shoot with a few of the LEOs around here, maybe word has gotten around. |

i believe it. Here in AZ a couple months ago i got pulled over and had my LMT/Stag SBR between the seat and center console. The officer talked about why he pulled us over etc, etc, and then he saw the stock and said "Wait, is that a rifle??" Said yes, he said ok step out of the vehicle please. He asked if he could grab it and clear it, said yes.. He looked at the lower and yelled "Aww sweet! i have a stag arms too!" put it in my trunk and sent us on our way with no citation. ETA he didn't even notice/care that it was an SBR |

Twice for me, both for speeding. First time about 15 months ago, had my CCW on my side, gave the cop DL and CHL, he asked if I was armed.
Me: yes sir. Him: where's it located. Me: On my left side. Him in a surprised voice: It's on your person!!!!!! Me: Yes sir. Didn't ask to take said CCW, came back a few minutes handed me my ticket to sign, said I'm sorry but the best I can do is give you 73 MPH, I was doing IIRC like 76 or so in a 60. He chatted with me for a minute asking where I go to shoot and what I carried. Then about 3 or 4 months ago I got nailed again for speeding. Handed the officer my DL and CHL, he asked where it was located, told him on my left side, didn't ask to disarm, came back handed me the ticket to sign, didn't knock anything off of it, thanked me for my courtesy. I was doing 79 in a 60. Now I have 4 points on my record, and I don't speed any more. |

this! come back and post when you get home to find Fido blasted into a thousand pieces and spent flashbangs all around your home, wife and kids arrested for cocaine dealing (planted of course). Its coming. Poor OP.... we hardly knew ye been in the same house since 95, probably on every fed database that exists, one dog blind and the other has seizures, still here, still got these damn dogs. |
| I got pulled over for speeding on the way to the range. I was in a Wrangler with the top off and the back seat looked like an ammo dump at the Bastogne. The cop never mentioned it. We don't have to tell them we're carrying, but it was abundantly clear I had more firepower than he had back at the station. |
