40K super-heavy is ready for paint. Decided to make it swappable between the Baneblade and the Shadowsword just like the old Armorcast model I had back in the 90s.

Nice!!!! Is that the Zevezda or the Bandai?

I have the Zev built up.

Thanks!

Bandai... the detail is fantastic. And the way it goes together hides every seam. I just wish it was bigger. I would have like to seen it at the same scale of the Revell Republic Cruiser. There ain't a lot of room in there for fiber optics, LEDs and a light board.

The best part is that the holes for the lights are already in the kit. No drilling.

Coming along. Brush painting white sucks.

Temporary base color until I decide on a basing theme for my army. First mini since 2001. Not entirely satisfied,  but not bad. Definitely game ready.

Just about finished with Tamiya’s P-38F.  Still have to add the drop tanks and a few other details.  This has been one of the best kits I’ve ever built. Tamiya’s engineering and fit have always been good, but this one is next level.

First build at my new bench and new home.  Took me about 4 months, but that also involved summer activities out on the lake taking me away from bench time.  It’s a 1/32 resin kit from Paul Fisher. Very rare now due to him losing everything in the Camp fire in Paradise CA.

Started this one three weeks ago this past Friday.  Almost there….

My first try at armor since my late teens. Now it's going to be covered by a whitewash for a winter diorama.

The kit was purchased for parts to repair this Tiger I completed 20-years-ago. It was smashed and had pieces lost during a move. It was the pinnacle of my modeling abilities back then. In my eyes now, it's a bit lacking: no weathering, no washes, no shading, etc. I like to think, thanks to the likes of the inspirational work exhibited in this thread, that my skills have improved.

I made my car. Well, as close as I could without some surgery. I used Tamiya's 2013 BRZ which is RHD, and has a different bumper. The kit has base rims, but I found a set if Fujimi 10 spokes that were pretty close to mine, and modded them to fit.

Time to start my son's presents from last Christmas. Hood and Bismark, Prinz Eugen is mine. Straight OOB builds, with all being properly ballasted for bathtub use. He's 9, and even though I say the Prinz is "mine" he'll wheedle it away from me anyway.

He wants the Bismark in Baltic camo, even though it isn't historically accurate for the Battle of the Denmark Strait. He just likes the look. And so do I, so Prinz Eugen, my favorite German ship and one of my favorite of all time, will be in the same camo. Prinz will get minor backdating to more closely match 1941, mostly removing AA guns, especially the turret top mounts. Being unable to afford the correct paints, I'm going to do my old "looks good enough for me " with whatever colors I already have. This year I'm getting him Prince of Wales. No way I'd try to paint her camo, but there is a decal set now. Then he'll have all the ships, whith the exception of Suffolk and Norfolk. Not sure kits of them are made. British cruisers are sadlly underrepresented in 1/350 plastic.

Thanks I could have did better with the diorama itself but I'm learning so to speak I really never built many dioramas. Just to clarify why the brick wall is there - when the battery went into place it was next to a walled sugar factory in that town. Part of the wall had been collapsed by the German artillery. So without really any reference pictures that was the best I came up with

My building time has suffered greatly over the last year or two, but I am picking away at a Hasegawa 1/32 BF-109G10. I started the kit back in January or February. Typically, I don’t model any one particular A/C, but rather build something based off reference photos that might have been. This 109 will be no exception. It’ll be from KG-27 from sometime in late ‘44 or early ‘45. I’m still trying decide what the two colors will be for the topside camouflage.Attachment Attached File

I finally finished up on this old Monogram P-61.  I added resin cowlings and engines.  I started this kit 7-8 years ago or so when this was the only option for a P-61 in 1/48.  I got frustrated with all the filling and sanding that was required and put it away and then finally got around to finishing it.

I wouldn’t recommend the kit unless you are wanting to spend a lot of time filling seams.

It looks great. Gives me hope for my build of that kit. I've read it has many shortcomings, specifically the fitment of the clear parts and gaps elsewhere. I've had the kit since I was a kid; back when my  options were limited to the Revell-Monogram-stocked local hobby shop and before I discovered the superiority of recessed panel lines. I'm still not sure I want to tackle those raised panel lines, but a P-61 would nicely compliment the Ju.88 G-6 kit I also have waiting to be assembled.

My Tiger diorama is basically complete. This is my first diorama and first attempt at figures. I always thought figures would be too tedious, but I actually thoroughly enjoyed the process.

Old Tamiya Tiger Early Production kit
Dragon 2nd Fallschirmjager Division kit
PM1910/30 from MiniArt Soviet MG kit

Some notes:
AK Snow Microballoons looks much more realistic for snow in 1:35. Much of the base was initially covered in The Army Painter's snow. The granules are too large, IMO, though.
I've found Mission Models acrylics to be rather fragile. That attribute worked great for the Tiger's whitewash.

Very nice! I think it looks fantastic. And yes I agree with you the AK snow micro balloons are awesome. When I do snow I usually use the AK interactive snow mixture and then I put the micro balloons on top
