For the last couple of days I've noticed strange things with my Firefox - stray graphics all over the page, like smilies in the upper title bars of the menus and other misaligned stuff. Today, though, forum pages just wouldn't finish loading. It got so bad that I had to revert back to IE. I uninstalled it twice and checked for spy software and the like, but I still have the same problems. Any ideas? |
Here is the extention that fixes the Slashdot rendering bug. |
| From what I have heard the issue is pretty random, and was recognized in the 1.0 betas but was not a "show stopper, critical problem" so it wasn't fixed in 1.0. It being totally random, I've only had it happen once, CK said it happened to him alot. The problem has been fixed in the current code for ff, and will be in the next release, from what I read anyways. |

Every now and again it does it to me too. I just close out and re-open the main page. Everythings good to go then. I think the browser just gets ahead of itself when loading. Sometimes on GlockTalk when the page loads, the page will have the first posters avatar in the lower right corner of every post. I do the same "close, and re-open". Just an inconvience really. |
Yep thats an accurate description of the "slashdot render bug" |

Here's what I ended up using: Click While running Firefox, click on the "User Script" link. Worked like a charm. Good luck. |
