Hey, I am just curious
what other good forums pertaining
to firearms are out there on the net.

This is the I use most often because it seems to
be the most active, has many knowledgeable
people here, and a large variety of topics, and
also, probably most important to me, has sections devoted to
most of the different varieties of firearms.

I mostly use internet gun forums to do research,
get information, or get ideas.

The other forum I use is Bullpupforum.com
because I have a bull pup and find them to
be handy rifles.

I have seen other forums online relating to
firearms, but I don't know which ones are good.

I have seen an M4.net and a Maryland shooters
forum. Again, I want to know forums
other members of this board frequent, or at least think
are worth visiting.

The internet......

It's the last place I'll go to for operational, real-world information on small arms based on *experience*.

I'm glad I have google so I can
look up these message board acronyms or else
I would be lost.

I never said it should be the first.

Sure, there is a ton of bad info on the net.

There is also a ton of good info too.  You just
have to know how to sift through the bad and
good.

Not going to disagree with you.  If you can get past the e-penis contests, you can learn quite a bit.

The fact is, I see so much inaccurate bullshit posted here in GD I don't even bother anymore-I just don't care enough to waste my time at this point.

You need to visit the technical forums. GD is just a place to fuck off

I've been to a lot over the last 5 years or so. Most of them pretty much suck compared to here IMO. with arfcom, you get everything.

For the Stoner family of weapons,
this site is top.

That's what the site is made for.

But I don't feel like they do other weapon
systems the same service.

I mean you can't really expect to be everything to everyone.
Every site has a strong suit and a weak suit.

If I want to discuss Elmer Fudd style hunting
rifles, I would probably not find the best info here.

I like bullpups, so naturally I go to Bullpupforum.com
to discuss those matters.

But I do agree in some way, there are
a ton of people on this site, and I think it
is difficult to find the same number of
people on any other site.

Not to mention how versatile this site is.

This site does offer a little of every flavor
of firearm.

Weapon Evolution is pretty tasty, but my heart belongs to ARFCOM

I go to here, OpenCarry.org and USACarry.

This one has the most variety.  OCDO is really good when dealing specifically with Open Carry as well as trying to understand the laws we live under.  USACarry... eh, it was the first firearm forum I started going to, and it's sorta an ARFCOM-light, with a bit more bluster and a bit less substance.  They do have good articles there every now and then though.

My main objection to some other
forums is there really isn't a whole
lot of people on them at times.

Like I can totally start a new interesting
thread conversation about some topic,
and I won't get a response for like a week.

The thread will remain at the top of the
list however, but noone noticed it
for a while.

In some of the sections here it is like that
too, but not nearly as extreme.

I don't see too many active forums.
