Alright, so a March 2004 newb chick is Why are you guys giving any attention to these people? I read these threads and think one thing....ITS A PLANT! Some liberal analyst is taking how many gun owners would jump all over a 16/17 year old GIRL if given the opportunity. For the love of god, lock these threads when they come up. There is no reason threads like this should continue, especially since they are PROBABLY plants by people wondering if gun owners are pedophiles. Bunch of dumbasses here.

From some of the deals that I've had lately with young women she sounds exactly like a 17 year old does...naive. Meaning, she has good intentions but doesn't know better. This site is full of guys...a lot of which seemed nice. Several of the younger members here posted when she first signed up...so all she was doing was trying to see if there was someone for her friend. At no point did I see here trying to find a sugar daddy...just a nice respectable male...which this site seems to be very short of. Perhaps all the old bitter men on this site have forgotten how naive they were in their childhood. Take your lectures elsewhere...I don't want to hear them. All you tin foil hats that think this is some plant designed to secretely entrap you because you talked to a girl on the internet...here's a quick fix STOP RESPONDING TO HER POSTS. Is that so god damn hard to do? If you don't want to be associated with her don't respond, problem solved. No wonder half this site can't find a date and the other half has been divorced. I can't believe how rude, condescending, uptight, and arrogant many of you are. It's pathetic. |

Sr. and not read/posted on the thread, the entire 8 page thread would have consisted of maybe 5 posts. |

Ok, so parts of the thread were funny, but at what cost to our reputations as gun owners if in fact these "girls" are actually 45 year old men, who are tallying up how many gun owners on Arfcom would fuck a juvinile? Seriously guys, even though she "sounded" like a 17 year old naive girl, well what about that site of grown adults, who pose as teens and even PREteens to catch pedophiles who solicite children? Trust me when I say that they can sound VERY naive for 45 year old adults. If you have kids, I assume you know how they can act. I suspect thats what we have here, especially with the recent threads, which are obviously baiting us. People bitched about my sig line last week because I put in an "American Psycho" movie quote, well this is far worse, since it is proven (Team Forum) that people are asking her for more revealing pictures and this chick is complying. Find your amusement somewhere else. These supposed girls should be ignored, except for valid threads. |

Last time I checked, everyone still had freedom of press, which means that you can write what you want... even on the internet. If you specifically proposition what you believe to be a minor or what you know to be a minor, then you are breaking the law. However, merely discussing sex with underage could simply be considered free expression or even fiction. Sick? Yes. But protected speech nonetheless. A bunch of these Internet 'sting' cases are going to the Supreme Court because there's no way to determine if someone is just 'trolling' back to an undercover officer. I've actually posed as a teen girl in Yahoo! chat to see how many sicko's I'd get, and there were a lot of them. I've also posed as a old perv and propositioned an undercover officer in a chat room as a joke. I knew it was a cop because of the dialogue, and I propositioned them. I said... "I've always wanted to have a gay affair with a cop pretending to be a teen kid in a chat room" They logged off instantly. It's all a bunch of bullshit that is probably just some troll trying to stir the shit... and look how successful they were at doing it. [:)] |

[nuts] In addition to scanning the username for acceptability, how about forcing new posters to read the CoC, maybe answer a few questions via a form email, before registration is complete? Furthermore, why not have a permanantely locked, tacked thread in GD detailing exactly what is/isn't acceptable. For instance, even for an obvious troll, it's unacceptable to call the troll a derogatory name. It's unacceptable to use sexual innuendo in threads started by minors (of either sex). It's unacceptable to 'tell' a new poster to leave the site. That type of thing. Just my $0.02 |

If it's not really a minor to begin with, and the response communication is nothing more than someone being 'creative', what is immoral about the purpose? If the minor in question is not really a minor, but a poser looking to bait people, who is the immoral one? There's nothing immoral about typing sexual text into an internet forum which doesn't specifically prohibit 'naughty' language. It's all a bunch of 1s and 0s in a hard drive that gets translated into text on a screen. None of you people are real. I am not real. But here are a couple of examples of how the Anti Gun Liberals have operated over here and your Antis take a lot of notes on how our Gov works gun control. A neat scam they pulled over here a few years ago was for reporters to join gun clubs, and after a while they started trolling all usual stereotype redneck and anti government comments. Sure enough some shooters joined in and started saying they'd shoot people who'd pissed them etc. The press had a field day with it and the Government used the quotes from some of the shooters to justify passing tighter gun ownership laws. We had a case a while back on a UK forum I use where a guy started hinting he wanted to get a gun and could anyone help him out. Turned out the guy was a TV researcher doing a program on illegal guns… and if someone had offered him what he wanted,… I'm sure you can see what would have happened. You guys are the sorriest excuses for civil libertarians I've ever encountered. What the fuck do you even need guns for if you've already forfeited your right to free speech? There's nothing to protect anymore. Take all your guns down to the local police station and turn them in. SO what if someone makes a derogatory comment to an anti posing as a kid? So what if the anti goes off on some journalism tirade about pedophile gun nuts. There's not a single shred of support for such a hairbrained hypothesis on their part, and all but the most ignorant of ignorant would dismiss their claims. You forget that in America, the largest demographic of gun owner is conservative, family, probably Christian, wage earning, salt of the earth. We all know it. They all know it. We already know that they hate us, and will stop at nothing to fabricate outright lies about one of the largest segments of the population to serve their interests. Then again, we still have all the guns. Sitting here crying about what some anti might think about us seems to be a waste of a good afternoon. I can spin the whole thing another direction. What IF the poser was an anti. What IF it were really a kid? I can come up with 100 arguments about how liberal parents who are gun haters don't protect their kid's activities while on the Internet, and until they do, they should stop worrying about how I choose to protect myself and my own. |
