I overheard an aplicant for Huricane relief here in New Orleans tell the FEMA clerk that they were just out of jail, and that they needed housing. He stated that he was in the NO jail when Katrina hit, and had been relocated to Baton Rouge Jail for the last six months. And now he was back living with his moma and family, and needed one of those trailers for him and his girlfriend and their kids. He filled out 25 or so pieces of paper, was given a wallmart card $250, and will be notified Monday if he wil get a hotel room between now and the time his trailer arrives. He Qualified for a extra trailer!

Wow. The world of Goberment Handouts is a strange place. I think we might be doomed.
