A guy from the area got locked up for possession of kiddie pron...i was able to find the arraignment documents online and it looks like it was just possession, no physical contact with kids. Guy plead guilty, so I assume it was either a plea from a worse charge, or just no chance of winning the case and they gave him time off for pleading guilty. Don't know, don't care.

We all hear the stories about what they do to molesters in prison.
Is it the same for people like this that just collected videos / pictures?
My guess is that the guy was probably into other stuff too, and if I am thinking that, I assume that fellow prisoners might as well.

So...this guy have any chance at surviving a sentence in the federal system?
What will really happen to him on the inside?

I don't know about Fed, but a buddy of mine is a PA state CO. He said they separate the pedos from general population.
Was it online porn? Is that why it was a Fed charge?

Feds are less tolerant of inmates screwing than the locals, but there are still many instances where the guards can't see everything.

I wont say it does happen but I won't say it doesn't.

Our facility is a pre-trial so the kiddie pervs really don't get fucked with much (and we have about 200 of them here....) b/c no one wants to fuck up their own case.  With that said many of the dudes make up some bullshit charges to hide why they're locked up.  I'm gonna say that in some instances kiddie perv I/M's get it worse from CO's than other I/M's....

Out here, in the state system, the pedos and rapists usually get protective custody from the word go.  When they get attacked its usually when they can't be segregated, like going to or from court.  Its really a shame

My guess is that he was in possession of images which originated outside the U.S.  He may have purchased them online, or traveled outside the U.S. to obtain them.

Something I have learned, a plea agreement does not necessarily mean the charges have been changed or reduced.  Many times the crook will plea to the original charge, in hope of a lighter sentence.

Lastly, with Child Porn, eventually the sickness will take over and simple images wont be enough, the pedophile will move into the realm of production.

Sounded like a combination of online stuff and possibly videos. Te news said they caught him because of online purchases and they found 100's of videos at the house....didn't say if they were on the computer but that seemed like the case...the article mentioned confiscation of hard drives.

Our county lockup separates them from general population, if requested (most do) and some make up charges, but the heads (inmate bosses) usually want booking charge print outs for his people. Really hard to fake your charges from the experienced cons.

Will they survive? Probably. He'll come out harder and wiser than he went in. Only the strong survive - or you bitch yourself out to the head for protection.

We get repeats in that have prior kiddy (cho-mo-child molester charges, all inclusive) and they get antsy when first booked.

My wife is convinced on your last point. She figured if the guy was into watching, he was probably into doing. Makes me sick to think about....lot of little kids in the neighborhood. I hope the fucking guy dies in prison...screaming.

When I was back in the Juvenile Unit years back, we had a kid come in that was 14-15 and had hundreds of counts of child molestation. His parents owned a day care center. He looked like Harry Potter as well. Sick freak.

Only thing to clean that brain is a lead injection.

I don't think he'll be missed if he dies in prison.

I did EMS contract work for New Jersey. The perverts had their own place, called the Adult Diagnostic and Treatment Center. It was next to East Jersey State Prison, otherwise known as Rahway.

ETA - they would let us go into Northern State to get prisoners out of the infirmary. Northern State is the one you can see from Newark-Liberty Airport.

They would not let us into the ADTC. We waited at the door for them to bring the scumbag out.
