I really like college basketball but find the NBA unwatchable.

Assuming that you're talking about sports we like to watch, besides the shooting sports (of course), motorcycle racing and track & field, though not necessarily in that order. In the fall, have to add USC football.

For participating in? Hunting, big game, prairie dog, & bird. And IPSC for shooting.

I used to ride alot, most recently competed in off-road motorcycling, particularly observed trials.

1. NCAA Basketball (you couldn't pay me to watch the NBA)

2. NCAA football ( I will watch the NFL but still prefer college)

That's really about it for me. Baseball bores me to tears. Same for golf.

I don't really like tennis but I will watch it just to see the gorgeous Maria Sharapova.

I use to be a bit of a NASCAR fan, but the modern NASCAR has lost all of it's appeal as far as I'm concerned.

I don't care much about Formula 1 racing because not only are they driving machines with no resemblence to a car, but are driven by a bunch of forign dudes who's names I can't pronounce.

NHRA drag racing is semi-cool and I can tolerate it. At least drag racing is as American as apple pie.

Hockey, it use to be somewhat fun when they could beat the crap out of each other without heavy fines. But it too was ruined by the time the 90's rolled around.

I can't even think of much else I would even consider. So yep, my favorites by far are college basketball and football.

To watch, but not play?  College football.  (I can watch most any NCAA game when I have the time; zero interest in NFL.)

To play, but not watch?  Tennis.  (Great fun to play; BOOOOORING to watch IMHO.)
