Anyone read it? My sister picked up a copy of it to read, ans I hope to read it when she gets done reading it. Anyone else ever read it? What i've heard thus far about the book is it is about how fast-food companies are evil and they abuse their employees. |
Had to read it for class... mainly whiny leftist pussy trash-- don't waste your time. |
yeah, he should have tried to maintain a similar caloric level too. If I were mcdonalds, I'd counter that movie by paying a bunch of people to lose weight eating nothing but mcdonalds for a month. Breakfast: Water, sausage mcmuffin with cheese, and hash browns: 590 calories Lunch: water, double cheese burger: 460 Supper: 1% Milk, Big Mac, small fries: 890 Total for the day: 1940 You could lose weight on that if you exercized too. Swap in a salad for lunch and it's even lower. |

I think he's full of bs on the extreme affects the diet had on him in such a short amount of time. I'm sure it'd eventually kill ya, but I think he exaggerated for affect. Whoops I think I'm confusing Supersize me and Fast Food Nation. I believe the author of Supersize me was inspired by the other book, so he started out looking to achieve a certain goal, i.e. showing how horrible the diet was; his girlfriend is some far out vegan too. |
+1 The book is more about the industry and the industry's effect. Worth reading. Regards, Chris Baghdad |
