Flown in to Buckley AFB this morning, there was a large formation of Army and Air Force personnel there.  I usually hate being in formations, but it was truly an honor to be in this one to pay respect to a fallen hero and show support for the family, lots of dust in that hanger.  Welcome home Jon.

Spc. Jon Stiles, a no-nonsense outdoors enthusiast with Miami Valley ties who refused medical leave after suffering injuries from a bombing attack in October, was killed Thursday, Nov. 13, in another bombing in Jalalabad, Afghanistan, the Defense Department said

Lo, there do I see my Father..
Lo, there do I see my Mother
And my Sisters and my Brothers..
Lo, there do I see the line
Of my people back to the beginning..
Thay do bid me to take my place among them..
In the Halls of Valhalla,
Where the Brave may live forever

So sad.  What a waste of a fine life.  Indeed, may he rest in peace.
