I grew up on Long Island, NY where Grumman used to build those F-14s. They are big planes. Sorry to see them go. My dad still has the old bomber jacket with the "Anytime Baby" Tomcat logo.

The F-14 flight-demo I saw at Wings Over Pittsburgh a few years ago was the only one that you could FEEL as well as see. The announcer used the phrase "pounds the air around it into submission" to describe it
