I've been working on building my first AR-15 style rifle and went with an 80% lower from E P Lowers. The way the contest works, I sent in a video describing why I chose them. The video with the most views wins, and the contest runs through November 1st. I did a review of the lower as my video and its less than a minute and a half. Please help me get a few extra views. I cover weight, price, and other factors with the exact weight with an unloaded pmag. I would appreciate any help to boost my views. It may make or break your decision on buying one too! Thanks in advance! Either way, if I don't win, I can't wait to add an ar-15 to the arsenal!
EDIT: I think I fixed the link? Thank You, Undefined, for embedding the video. ( Post Below This One) I cant figure it out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZnpvCUnq88w |

PSA: OP is female.
Here is the video, since her link is broken. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZnpvCUnq88w |

OP is a newbie 13'er who obviously doesn't know the rules.
Will watch the video as soon as the link to the thread in BOTD forum is posted. |

Never knew such a 80% lower existed that was easy to build without a jig.

Complete polymers are $45 (+ shipping and transfer fee of course) ETA: It looks like EP lowers does make them in some cool colors though. ETA2: They have $35 blemished 80% polymer lowers too... not bad |

All I see is a big white box. |

Question on the lower. How difficult was the dremel fire control part? Do you know weight savings over alum?
|
|
Whew! Thank you to the person that fixed my original post. That was a lot of reading for such a short time! As for the pocket, it's pretty easy in my opinion. The sides are shy of mil-spec by a few hundreths, so even once you're past the white core you're still within a safe zone. The bottom pops out once you get the sides ground down, leaving a smooth surface on the bottom.

Change the title to include the word "FIREMISSION:" at the front of the title and mention that you are A) Female and B) that there is a video in the thread. It is a sad fact that this will attract hundreds of people to the thread like moths to a flame. General Discussions (aka GD) is kind of like a 6th grade classroom only with a slightly lower attention span. |

To advertize here on ar15, you're supposed to be a Merchant Member. Damn! Beat by 6 sec. |

I like the info here. Most posts are pretty thorough when covering the assembling process. |

A lot rough at other times. If you are thin skinned or tender-hearted, take heed and be very careful about where and what you post. The tech forums and Women Shooters forums aren't like that, but GD is a free for all, complete with Cheetos, purse swinging, slap fights, and name calling. Very few punches are pulled. And we like it that way. ETA: and this site is VERY predominantly male. |
