I wasn't sure which forum to put this in so I apologize in advance to all of the forum police out there  .I'm planning to open my own business and hoped to get a few things rolling along parallel paths. I have my Business license in process and wanted to start my FFL application at the same time. For those of you in the know, shouls I wait and apply as a business or can I apply as an individual and change at a later date? Bomber |
If you apply as an individual, you get your license as "Joe Schmoe." If you want to change it to "Joe Schmoe, LLC," you have to reapply and get a new license. I advise you to do it right (whatever right is for you) the first time to save on hassles and headaches.  Mike |

Great input thanks. I guess I'll wait and do it under the business name. Can I ask the same question with respect to the address. When I first start out the addy will be my home. As my business plan comes together, I will have a storefront. Is it hard to change the address? Bomber |
