One of the fundamental truths of the universe is that there isn't anything that cannot be improved with the addition of pirates, ninjas, midgets or monkeys.

what a sad thing to do--have a poll asking people what freedoms they are willing to give up. Fucking pathetic! My feelings about freedom have not changed one bit, if anything, I am more resolved to fight for them against whoever may be trying to take them.
|
|
|
They must not like the results they're getting because now there's only 3 choices:
Freedom of travel
Freedom of speech
Freedom of privacy
|
|
Our people look for a cause to believe in. Is it a third party we need, or is it a new and revitalized second party, raising a banner of no pale pastels, but bold colors which make it unmistakably clear where we stand...? ~ Ronald Reagan
|
Yeah, the choices have been slimmed down - f*cking pitiful......

Whoa, they dropped the 'none of the above' response! Who are THESE people?????
It now reads, simply:
Which freedoms would you be willing to give up in order to wipe out the threat of terrorism?
Freedom of travel
Freedom of speech
Freedom of privacy
That's it!

They changed the poll!
The original is listed as tuesday's poll.
The new one has been reworded:
Which freedoms would you be willing to give up in order to wipe out the threat of terrorism?
Freedom of travel
Freedom of speech
Freedom of privacy
Old:
Which freedoms would you be willing to compromise in order to eliminate the threat of terrorism?
Freedom of privacy 7% => 331 votes
Freedom of speech 2% => 76 votes
Freedom of travel 18% => 840 votes
All of the above 10% => 437 votes
None of the above 55% => 2549 votes
Not sure 8% => 371 votes
Current vote tally: 4604
Note that they've gone from "compromise" to "give up".
AAAARRRRRGH!
