Depends on the brand. I don't think any smell particularly foul though, but I've smelled some truly foul things in my time. Anybody that says pipe tobacco doesn't smell good though is a liar.

Started smoking in 2011 in Afghanistan. Smoked heavily until I quit in 2014. I don’t like the smell.

I do miss smoking though. I enjoyed smoking. I’d probably still do it if it didn’t kill you.

I quit smoking cigarettes years ago but still smoke my pipe. People would run away from a lit cig but when the pipe comes out I always get one person who say, "My, that smells nice!" As for me, smoked cigs for 20+ years and now I hate the smell of a lit cig.

No, 2nd hand smoke annoys me, and I smoked for more than a decade. I do like the smell of tobacco though.

Quit almost 17 years ago. I hate the smell now and loathe the smell of a full ashtray or the smell of old stale cigarettes on someone's clothing. I can smell it a mile away.

Never a smoker, but love the smell of a freshly lit cigarette. My mother smoked outside so as to not stink up the house. I always went outside with her to talk and get a whiff of a fresh light. She quit around the time I started college. She stills craves a cigarette 30 years later. I still enjoy the smell when someone lights up, but hate the smell after a little bit.

Quit a few years ago, cigars smell is like nectar of the gods to me, cigs turn my stomach and send me running now.

Quit March 2003. Absolutely cannot stand the smell. Hard to believe I used to smell like that.

Last 10 years or so I smoked, I rolled my own. $1/pk, using pipe tobacco.

3 packs a day to zero the next day, quit cold turkey back in 1978ish. Do not miss it and smoke smells like shit to me. Actually, shit smells better.......

A freshly lit smoke by someone else has always given me the warm fuzzies. My childhood friends parents smoked and so I attribute the fondness for it to that.

I liked the smell before I started smoking, while I was smoking, when I quit smoking and when I picked smoking back up.

How it makes you smell afterwards not so much.

My wife smoked for 40+ years. Now she vapes. When she smells cigarette smoke she'll say something like "I don't know how I stood the smell of that for all those years" and goes back to vaping her blueberry, vanilla, banana custard vape.

EVERYTIME I SEE SOMEONE SMOKING I want a cig....... Here is the thing for the most part the smell disgusts me BUT every once in awhile I get a whiff and it smells soooooo good! I have not touched one in 5 1/2 years and I know I can never touch one again or I'll start again. I feel so much better since I stopped but I do miss the rush of the nicotine.

I love the smell. I really miss smoking. I wasn’t too hard core though, pack, pack and a half (two on weekends) a day for 35 years or so.

One thing I know I could never do now is kiss a girl who smokes. Unless she power washed her entire breathing system out with a harsh cleaner.

Quit 8 years ago. Sometimes i get a wiff and want a smoke.

But most of the time it smells disgusting.

I am pretty sure it only smells good when i have been drinking
