How much violence would blackmarket narcotics producers use if their products were decriminalized and they had use of the court system? yeah but neither side wants to give up the power that comes with the drug war. who cares if peoples faces get sewn to soccer balls the millions our officials pocket more than makes up for any deaths your family might have. |

Allegedly US is asking for extradition. Over / under odds on that?
I'd say after his last escape, the only thing to keep him in custody is to build an elevated platform with a cell on top and surround it with a moat full of sharks with freaking lasers on their head. |

If we played as large of a role in capturing him as I think we did, then I'd say it's pretty good odds they send him over. Assuming we actually want him

I think they'd just move on to something else, like more human trafficking, kidnapping etc. They aren't going to start doing the right thing all of the sudden. Quoted:

How much violence would blackmarket narcotics producers use if their products were decriminalized and they had use of the court system? There are 1000 assumptions baked into that response. The biggest is that kidnapping and sex slavery trades are like manufacturing narcotics. They couldn't be more different; they are businesses which are injurious to the rights of others solely by their practice. Kidnapping needs a person to kidnap. Sex slavery needs a slave. A case could be made that human trafficking could be good if all the business does is circumnavigate unjust laws by the state for voluntary clients. What about Pfizer, Merck, AstraZeneca, and all the other legal narcotics manufacturers? Is a corporate executive at one of those companies going to enter the child sex trade if somehow they were all shut down overnight? |

You could make an argument that pot ought to be illegal, or whatever drug. This isn't the way to do it. |

Fox News:
Two of the rifles seized were .50-caliber sniper guns, capable of penetrating most bullet-proof vests and cars. The grenade launcher was found loaded, with an extra round nearby. And an assault rifle had a .40 mm grenade launcher, and at least one grenade. The Mexicans have invented a new nano-grenade. Beware. |

Your question doesn't even make any sense. Big Pharm is legal, if they folded shop, they would remain in a legal industry. Cartels are criminals, so they will remain criminals. Plus cartels are already involved in human trafficking. |
