SteyrAug I know you are well educated in the art of the Samurai sword. Where does a newbie start to learn about these things? I've always had a fairly keen interest in these blades but never the time.

After seeing The Last Samurai, it's become apparent to me now is the time to learn some more about them.

Incidently, that movie was REALLY good. Go see it if you get a chance.

I personally am not much into the whole Katana thing - but such is life. I am, however, as much into swords in general as I am firearms.

There is a sword dicussion forum in general. Also, a lot of custom knifemakers frequent these boards, along with reps from some of the better commercial knifemakers.
Simply the best site for blade info on the net.

That is EXACTLY what I was looking for! Actually my wife went ninja nuts on me once when she found my rockchucker reloading press clamped to her new table with these huge C-clamps. That was ugly......
