I was curious if any of the women(or men) have gotten their ears stapled?
If so, did it work for weight loss or to stop smoking? It may be old news for some of you but we are just starting it in Arkansas. My brothers fiance just had both her ears done and so far she has eaten double the amount she normally eats. They did say if may take a few days to take affect. Plus they told her to take it out after 3 months...how do you get it out? Its not like an earring... Do you think its just mind over matter??? Thanks

I've never heard of that but I did shoot a nail through my finger with a nail gun once. It didn't seem to affect my appetite but it did turn me religious--I must have talked to the Lord for a half hour or more.
 On a serious note--what the HELL are you talking about??

I think its about focusing all of your attention on why the heck your ears are stapled and so you stop eating ... I think thats it

It's based on acupuncture. You stick the staple in the right spot, it sends a signal to the stomach that makes you feel full sooner and suppresses your appetite. People are also doing it to help stop smoking. It makes you have a bad taste in your mouth when you try to light up. Some people say it works, some say it doesn't. Cowboy thinks its mind over matter. I can't beleive nobody else has heard of it? Its all the rage around here right now.  |

Thanks for posting some links...I was out all day yesterday and didnt get a chance to reply quick enough.
I am shocked that no one has heard of this. Everyone is saying that its the thing to do in the big cities. They charge like hundreds of dollars to do it in some places. You can get it done here for 30-50 dollars per ear. I will update if my brothers fiance actually starts losing weight. |

If you don't mind travelling I will do it way cheaper. Plus, if you have any tattoos that need removing I will do a "two fer"--half price on each. <runs to dig out the belt sander and ear plugs> |

I'm not surprised that they're doing this - Pig Farmers have been cutting knotches in pigs ears for years to help them gain weight. I would think though that people would have better sense to make a life style change with a healthy diet and exercise than something as dramatic as stapling your ear.
