I used to have a friend in Sarasota who would bring a bunch of stone crab to hunting camp.
Now, hunting camp was always a good highlight of my year, and the stone crab was the pinnacle of the weekend.

RIP Big John.

Red rock crab are the best closely followed by Dungeness then everything else. The east coast can keep their blue and stone crab.

I don’t think anyone outside the PNW even knows these guys exist.

King crab is good, very good, and I commercial fished for the damn things.   But Dungeness for the win.  Snow crab only when we were hard up, now snow crab in Texas, that's really hard up.  And anybody that eats imitation crab, is eating anything but crab.

Let me introduce you to Stone Crab and totally fuck your mind with delicious sea spiders.....

In a perfect world, everyone would get to dine here at least once before they died.

Yes, Dungy's are the best. Especially when fresh.  Buy why stop with just crab? Add some fresh black rock fish and gaper clams, and then you have a great meal.

Nice

Never actually been to Miami Miami.

Been to Fort Lauderdale for a football game that the lesbian that's been trying to steal my partner flew us down to.

And Orlando and Cape Canaveral.

That's my extent of Florida.

Used to catch the heck out of those when I lived in Brookings. Very tasty, just little yield. I get them up here once in a while. Usually just snatch them up with a fish net from the docks.
