My local post office has a sign up that says they will be open until 1 PM, IIRC.

yes, most windows are closing at 1 or 2, but deliveries will be til all the mail is out Wed nite, including parcels, going to be a long evening.......then back at it Friday morning

Back dock will be open till 6 or 7pm. Unless someone calls and then dad will go check to see if their packages came late. He has gone back at 9pm to look for packages for people.
