I've seen evidence of some really extreme personalities in the threads and this caused me to wonder if everybody here is the person they want to be?? Is there something you would change if it could be w/o sacrifice or emotional trauma??? Personally, I wish I could be less skeptical and cynical. It causes me to be less willing to engage with people and consequently branded as stand-offish!!

I've come to know myself as shallow and materialistic. Although I am not selfish. Very outgoing, love to be around lots of people and some have considered me the life of the party.

I LOOOOVVEEEE ME and everything that I am.

I am very happy with myself.  The Lord has blessed me far greater than my worth, and I know that.

If you're not constantly looking to improve yourself, you are stagnating.

Life doesn't stand still for anybody.  Look at all the low-skill manufacturing jobs going overseas.  You can't just sit around and dawdle, otherwise life will pass you by.

So there's nothing wrong with feeling that you need to brush up on certain things.  It shows that you're looking to better yourself, and that is a good thing.

Actually, I think that some poundage is what I'm missing most in life.

I wish I could be less of a push over with those I love.

I'm an enabler.

I'm a little anti social.  I would like to be better with people.  I tend to freeze up when talking in front of groups.

Better control of anger issues.

I'm seriously worried that one day I might lose it all, go totally bat-shit-fucking-loco-psycho-crazy and then you'll all be reading about me on the news.

Then again, doesn't everyone - given the proper circumstances - have the capability of becoming that?

Maybe I'm more normal than I thought

I need to lose a few pounds and need to improve on some strength work, but other than that I see myself as a squared-away member of society who is better off than a fair chunk of the rest of the US population.

You mean who I am, or what I've accomplished?  As for who I am, yea, I love me.  As for the latter, hell I'm only 18, I've got my whole life ahead of me.

I am very happy with me.. if there is something that I am dissatisfied with I make a conscious effort to change it. I have been very blessed through out life and couldn't be more thankful for everything and everyone that has helped make me the person I am today.

There are a few things about myself that I would like to change.

Those things aren't bad enough for me to mutilate my body with piercings and stuff.

But, overall pretty much like me.

No way man. My skepticism has saved my butt too many times.

Most humans are deceitful, ignorant, selfish, dysfunctional cesspools.

Not particularly.  I'm far too open with people when I shouldn't be, and I have a hard time keeping my friggin trap shut.  I would like myself a lot more if I could get out of public service...where I'm liked well enough, but secretly hate everyone.

So, as long as you know this, everything's cool, right?

Only you can control your happiness.  You will be forever unfulfilled if you rely on others for it.

To the arfcommers who have adopted an artifically hard image, why not give it up and try to be nice.  Once upon a time, I had a chip on my shoulder too.  I made a conscious effort to give it up, and it has paid big dividends.

Not really... I trust too much, even after being burned. I avoid confrontation to the point i let people run over me.

Someday i hope to hurt someones feelings so I can be a bad man... fullclip
