Yeah, on a few of occasions. I have a POS Marlin semi-auto .22 that we call "POS". I call my muzzleloader "'Ol Blunderbuss". The AR-15 is the "FCG" (F**KING COOL GUN) My .270 is "Old Faithful" My 12ga is Native American-named "Kills from Both Ends" My Browning lever-action .22 is "Sweet Piece" The .357 is "The Noisy one". My girlfriend's Colt .380 is "Little Peace of Mind". Haven't come up with names for the Beretta or Sig yet. Everyone else calls them "Damn nice!" [thinking]

It like to not fire) Armalite AR-180B: Erin The AR-180B is the only one not named for a girl who I tried and failed to date. Erin is a friend of mine from high school who basically asked me to name it that. Too bad she goes to school in Alabama. [:(] |

my .445 super mags are "sonic the supermag" and the "detroit diesel", Uzi pistol is the "floozi", Delta-Elite is "the dark slide", the Glock 23 "keep your f**king finger off the trigger",lots of others. nick names come from first firings. |

Oh yeah, I have 4 AR's....
Carl Frank Debbie and Gerard Not. Like another post already covered, I have no compulsion to name mechanical devices. Guns, washing machines, cars or weed eaters. Guns cool? Oh yeah. Guns needing names? Not in my house....except the names stamped in to their metal. |

I name mine after various posters. I have a .45 derringer named after DonR. I have a gun of unknown type and appearance, but I know it has to be a REALLY nice, attractive weapon, named after ARLady. Have a .357 with a 2 inch barrel named NSF Jojo - when I fire it, it flips out and makes me crap my pants. I have an Austrian bullpup of unknown make and model...named after Steyr AUG. The factory folks anticipated my request, and it came with the engraving. Nice people they are [:)]

My wife didn't [i]name[/i] it, exactly, but when she saw my 10/22 after I put a Fajen thumbhole stock, 16" bull barrel, and 4-12x 50mm objective Simmons scope on it she said it went from "cute" to "technologically barbaric." [BD]

I used to be a violinist until I got in the Army and blew out my right eardrum (my tone ear)on auto fire (what a way to go). Ever since then, every rifle I've been issued has been named Melody. Now that I own my own rifle, I suppose it'd be a shame to break tradition . . .

I named my "deer hunting revolver", a S&W 8 3/8" barreled, magna-ported .41 Magnum, "Painless". (I stole that name from the movie "Terminator")
I used to own a Ruger Blackhawk w/ a 4 5/8" barrel in .41 magnum also. She was "The Beast" - for obvious reasons. Mrs. A3kid referred to my first AR as "Your girlfriend" - 'caused I tended to to give her a lot more attention than I did my wife. I never took her to bed with me, but she did sleep beside my bed for the first few weeks. [:D] |
