Say anything remotely out of their radical thought process (if you could call it that) and you get banned. You know, for being such staunch supporters of the 1st amendment, they sure don't act like it.

Tried posting there years ago and was banned immediately.

I find it absolutely amazing that the Left REFUSES to engage in substantive dialogue...that they BAN any person with even the slightest bit of counterrevolutionary ideas. They make no bones about it either. Skinner states it clearly in his CoC: That site is for Democratic LIBERALS to share ideas. They reserve the right to shut down anyone with divergent, deviant thought.

Stalin did that too...as did Che and Fidel, Mao, Pol Pot, Kim, and all the rest of the Party leaders since the 1917 Revolution first put power into the bloody hands of Communist terrorists.

Then again, I should have been prepared. The DU'ers are after all, the not-so-distant children of the Communist Party.

I tried once for shits and giggles and couldn't get banned, my screen name was "liberalass" and all they did was change it to unitled and some odd number at the end. I have bad luck at not getting banned

i have a radical lefty id over there and trash them regularly on the war. basically my stance is that who cares who started the war, these are anti woman, right wing, religious fanatics who deserve to die. anyone who opposes the war supports them and is a traitor to leftist ideals. oh yeah, i'm also scared of right wing nut jobs here and now carry a piece. eleanor roosevelt carried one in the south, malcom x talks about 2a, yada yada...heh heh heh, haven't been banned yet!

I did it once, during the last election. It was fun for about 5 minutes. Other then that, I prefer to waste my time on ARFCOM.

BTW, I heard that it's lots of fun to post a picture on a server somewhere that consists of one white pixel, make dozens of posts on DUh with that image in them, and then change the picture on the server to something mocking them. It'll show up on all those posts at the same time, thus confounding them.

I browse DU for fun sometimes, especially the gun rights forum, usually while I am listening to streaming audio of Hannity or Rush so I wear eye protection in case my monitor implodes

I went over there trying to find a subtle way to get them to think outside their box.
I try to base all my beliefs on actual facts, instead of what I wish the facts to be. They don't want any of that. I believe I'm right, and they believe they're right. Their version of a valid belief is "Bush was an oilman, His croneys were oilmen, so the war in Iraq is a war for oil."
I was just over there this morning, and was unsurprised that they haven't learned any lessons over the past 4 years. People are sick of the economic/class warfare crap. You can't convince the population that CEOs are evil and greedy when they pay almost half of all taxes collected. You can't convince swing voters that gun control works when laws like the AWB were proven to have no real effect on crime.
But being the good koolaid drinkers they are, they don't let facts shake their Democrat ideals.
