Apparently more and more people are reporting sightings of “The Mothman”. Supposedly there is an increase in reported sightings every 50-60 years right before something happens. Attached File |

| I believe the theory that if something tangible is causing the sightings, and it's not mass hysteria, it's some huge-ass bird or other flying animal, and not a monster proper. If that's not the case, I'd be inclined to write it off as a type of aliens thing, and I'm still undecided about aliens. I think it being some kinda flying evil devil man animal monster thing is about the last thing I'd believe in. |

Believe it or not, out of all the weird shit i like to entertain the possibility of, mothman is not one. Edit to add: I think mothman was real, a harbinger of death that fulfilled it's purpose and is gone now. Obligatory attempt at hunting settup pic:

I had a great-great-great grandfather and his family settled in the area and was also a Revolutionary War veteran ( along with his son ) . His wife and baby son were killed and two daughters taken by Shawnee. I have no doubt that Chief Cornstalk put a curse on the area , but I doubt any mothman shenanigans. |

Yes. I do. Many credible reports of some pretty strange things happening shortly before the Silver bridge collapse. Not by coincidence either. A lot of cryptic reports are out there, but this one actually has a lot of credibility. A lot of credible eye-witness accounts of strange things happening all at once right before the bridge collapse. |

The only rear controversy is weather the mothman caused the Silver bridge to collapse, or he was there to provide warning to it's imminent collapse. Many locals at Point Pleasant saw him. He sheltered in the local abandoned explosive mines. This is one of those legends that really did happen. |
