FYI I just opened my statement to DISCOVER ( no pun intended ) over $900. in unauthorized charges from the 25th of September to the 2nd of October. I immediately contacted the CC company and went through the details with the Fraud /Security Dept. The account is now closed and the investigation commenced. Here's the kicker: I have destroyed the card 8 months ago, have not made any purchases for over a year, the only activity with this account is payments. The good news is I will not be responsible for those charges Arfcommers, check your DISCOVER CARD statements, this does not look like an isolated incident. |

I had a similar experience many years ago. Way before I even received the card, I already received a billing statement of $220 for jewelry. I had mine closed right away and was not liable for the bogus charge. Other people I have spoken to since who applied and or has Discover card had similar problem. |
