My girlfriend is a corn dog addict and we decided to try Alton Brown's recipe this evening. Recipe can be found Here

We added some extra flour to thicken up the batter and used a double dipping technique.

The batter:

Rolled the dogs (Nathans) in some corn starch to get the batter to stick.

After the initial fry

Dipped again and then given a final fry

RRA lower/ Spikes upper- pistol
Mossy 500
M7 bayonet. (No utensils really necessary but added so as not to loose points)
Ice cold Redhook bottled today at the brewery I work at

Best damn corndogs we've ever had!!!!!!!!!

I totally recommend this recipe, the jalapenos and onion add amazing flavor.

Yea, I haven't had a corn dog in about a decade but the female unit loves em. I was very surprised how much I enjoyed them. Looking forward to doing it again!

Used Nathans hot dogs. The choice for the 4th of July contest. Joey Chestnut better keep the belt on American soil. If there is anything we as Americans must dominate it's hot dog eating.

Back when I used to drink, I would eat corndawgs regularly.... since I quit I don't think I've eatin' one in a couple of months.... maybe I'll make some up this week. Thanks for bringing them back to my attention.
