On computers or digital devices, usually when you 'delete' a file, pic, etc, just the reference to the file on the storage medium in the directory is deleted, not the file itself.

I'm assuming it is on some kind of flash based media? If it hasn't been re-formatted/over written then with the right software you have a chance...... a slim one.

I've had excellent success with Easy Recovery Professional (by Ontrack). They have a free trial but I haven't used that in a long time so I don't know what the limitations are.
