I am looking at three digital cameras for fishing photos and want to know what people think?

All are Olympus cameras but I am open to other suggestions. I like Olympus cameras

I am not familiar with any of those, but in this day and age, any digital camera from a major company like Olympus, Canon, Nikon is going to take adequate pics.

Nikon man myself.

I've had four digital cameras over the last few years and for a point-and-shoot, my current Canon Powershot SD1100 IS has been incredible.

I shoot a Canon XSi, but if you are looking for cheap, for about $200 you can have a P&S Nikon coolpix 10mp.
I have a few of these for work related stuff and they do the trick just fine.

Not sure how many cameras are waterproof, but they make plastic sealed containers for scuba divers to put cameras in for underwater photography.

I know the Olympus cameras I listed are waterproof to 10 feet

I have three non digital Olympus cameras and like them but I do not have any digital camera of any brand

I'm thinking that you're referring to waterproof "point & shoot" cameras.  If so, Olympus and Pentax are really your only options.  I flyfish so I am constantly wading through the water.  Sometimes, with the slippery rocks and swift current, you end up in the water.  I experienced this with a few cameras that aren't waterproof.  Usually, my camera is in one of the pockets in my vest and if you go in the drink, they will fill with water.  I have an Olympus 1050 but would recommend the Tough 6000.  The only reason being, is that the 1050 has a slideable door that turns the camera on.  Trust me, with all of the movement that you will do, it will invariably slide open and turn the camera on unbeknowst to you.  You catch your prized fish and go to take a picture of it and your battery is dead.  Don't ask me how I know.  The picture quality isn't as good as some other non-waterproof P&S's but they still take great pictures.  Hope this helps you out.

Many of my fishing buds have your standard P & S's but to have a truly waterproof one certainly brings peace of mind.  Additionally, there is a feature on the camera where you can record video underwater.  It actually works and it's pretty neat watching your trout swim away from your hand/net.  Tight lines!

I own a Stylus 1030SW.  Awesome 10MP camera.  Used in in the Caribbean last August. Only recommended for one hour underwater, but Olympus sells a case for longer and deeper use.   Two pictures from the ocean and from a beach in Honduras.   Do buy a floating strap for it.
