Let's not question their intentions. Let's have a real debate on their policies.” The Republican governor praised Obama for “showing more flexibility when it comes to Iraq than maybe some of the campaign rhetoric suggested.” “I am, quite honestly, pleasantly surprised,” he said. “That's the kind of pragmatism, listening to the commanders on the ground, I think is very important.” Jindal did offer some criticism of the president, pointing out that it is “fine to have an honest disagreement on the policies that both administrations would choose to try to keep us safe.” “At some point, we need to stop going overseas and apologizing, criticizing our predecessors,” he said. |

Cheney is a good guy but has no chance of running for President. Too much bad press and stigma. Health concerns.
Jindal? What a clown. He is like Fred Rogers - I wish people would stop talking about him. The elephant in the room seems to be that since he is not white, he gets paraded around to show that the Republicans have diversity as well, and would pose a contender against Obama in 2012. |

Mitch Daniels. Has said he's done with running for politics after his 2nd governor term is up in '12. Chances are he'll be an adviser for someone.
He got us lifetime handgun permits, balanced our budget within two years, and won overwhelmingly in his re-election. He was the Director of the Office of Management and Budget and is big on fiscal responsibility. Right now he's pushing to restructure the layers of local government. Refused state handouts. Went to Princeton and Georgetown...fence voters love that shit. IMO he would make a great president, but more likely would be considered for vice president.
