Anyone ever deal with these guys? They advertise 1911 and FAL parts in Shotgun News. Latest issue they have a 1911 for $295 shipped.

Anyone know anything? Could this be a serviceable, cheap 1911 or more junk to be avoided like the plague?

Thanks for any info.

I dont know about the 1911's, but they shipped my FAL reciever pretty quick. I was wondering about the 1911's myself. Quite helpful on the phone, the girl could'nt seem to do enough for me. That's rare I enjoyed it

I hope someone has an answer, I was wondering the same thing after I got the latest SGN.  The pic looks like a decent rack-grade piece to me.  But I'm no expert with 1911s.  Plus, they obviously used their nicest one for the photo...

But that's cheaper than a Charles Daly which is a KBI (Filipino) POS.

OK. Can one of you really rich guys out there order one of these and give everyone else a range report?:) I was thinking about getting a cheaper handgun to keep in my toolbox and the like. One that I really wouldn't worry too much about. I was considering the FEG highpower but this 1911 deal looks better.

Has anyone ever bought any 1911 stuff from these guys??

I can't speak about the company you are referring to, mainly because I can't find a shotgun news anywhere. However, I can say that http://www.aimsurplus.com has IAI model 5000 1911's for $349.99 and they come with all the goodies.

These guns blue book over 500.00 @ 100% and I can't find a problem with the ones I've seen.
